Finding Relief Through Vibration Training

He likes it!

Wayne at work

Oliver Wayne claims he’s seen it all in the last 40 years – every exercise supplement and contraption out there – and he’s got stories like being a former world champion power lifter. At 59, he’s now a personal trainer at my new gym, staying healthy so he can enjoy his grandkids. I liked Wayne the first day we met.

I figured Wayne had heard the buzz about vibration platforms… but nope, nutin. So I sent him some studies. I’m not sure why, but I wanted him to try it out and tell me what he thought. Of course he was skeptical, just like I had been. I’m sure he had flashbacks of the old fat man with the vibration belt around his waist, trying endlessly to shake the fat off.

Either I’m ridiculously good looking or Wayne was won over by curiosity and wanted to try it out.  I lent him my platform. A few days later I was supposed to go pick it up, but he wouldn’t give it to me…Did he love it or was he plotting against me? In all seriousness, he really did like it! He said the eight hour shifts as a security guard (his other job) had become easier and less painful. He discovered something that gave him relief from his sore body and feet, and he wanted one of his own.

It’s only been a few weeks since Wayne got his own platform, and he’s using it regularly. He said he likes to stand and stretch on it but has also started to mix in weight training on it too. He’s eager to see how much it will increase his strength and power. So far, it’s all good news. He’s even put together a list of local trainers and gym owners that he wants to show it to.

Wayne’s a talker, so I always get the progress report when I see him at the gym. He tells me that his next and most important goal is to get his wife and mother vibrating too!

Keep talking to your family and friends Wayne… We love it!

Soloflex Whole Body Vibration review on ConsumerGuide and HowStuffWorks

The Soloflex Whole Body Vibration (WBV) is actually an attachment for existing Soloflex gyms. It does come as a body platform for a separate product altogether, but it’s really going to have more appeal to existing Soloflex users.

It’s a unique upgrade for any gym. The WBV is like a little motor attached to the gym to make it vibrated during use. The body gains increased flexibility with the vibration, making it like an instant warm-up. The Journal of Sports Sciences reports that “Vibrating while exercising makes muscles grow faster and improves bone density.”

Best of all, Soloflex has made it easy to use. There are no tools needed. Peel off paper to expose the adhesive side of the WBV and press down hard. It will stay in position for years to come.

Read this great review on our Whole Body Vibration product. It says that our product has been discontinued, however, that part wasn’t accurate. We really appreciate their review!
