What is beauty? We all think we know, but do we? Is beauty really in the eye of the beholder? We’ve pulled together some photos of folks that are at the extremes of the pursuit of beauty.
Note: Some of the images may be considered disturbing to some of our readers, so please use discretion before continuing to read.

That is so sad. Some of the pictures I didn’t understand or couldn’t see clearly, so I’m not sure what was going on, but with others it it was tragic.

Most of the picture a large health concern whether loss of weight with anoxeria, excess muscle building wwith steroids. Often we are willing to sacrifice medical for appearance. I wonder what 5 years will bring for each of them

-.-
Obvious shoops are obvious…
Most of those are legit: Chelsea Charms, Ms. Powers, etc, but a couple of those are blatantly fake. Pics 6 and 16? I might be able to accept 6 if there are some weird lights but 16 looks really shooped.

Whatever happened to weekly psychotherapy sessions? Maybe that needs to come back in fashion. Even the ‘well done’ botox and more subtle forms of plastic surgery look obvious and to me, show a very sad person who has drifted from our true path ~ a spiritual one. It used to be a well known fact that the material aspect of life is not the important one, it is a trap and very selfish. From the results shown above of being too preoccupied with our shell, this dead-end path shows itself for what it is.

a lot of those are photoshopped.

Starts amusingly enough and degenrates in to the obscene. Such a shame that people will go to such extreme lengths in the quest for beauty – trouble is that in all these cases the beauty is only in the eye of the beholder.

really amazed and I must say that whatever you look like, you are pretty atleast to yourself. The day you would start thinking about yourself otherwise, that much reason will be enough to make yourself ugly and very sooner you will die out of stress. So, you r pretty and be pretty.

In response to some above posts. I believe that these pictures are too real. Sure there may be a head superimposed on a gargantuan body, but the body actually is real. These are very run of the mill steriod cases. In fact i have seen so many of these body types that it doesn’t even surprise me. However, the anorexia pictures are appalling. My 9 year old daughter asked me if she looked anorexic, as if it were a desireable trait, which is exactly why we wound up at this page. I thought that we would look at some anorexia pictures so she could see how awful it looks and how awful it is. We were all shocked by the extreme cases. It is very sad to know that these people don’t see what we do, and for many, they never will. My heart goes out to the families of these people, I am sure that they know that the condition of their loved one will surely end in death. Hopefully there is a miracle waiting for these sick, sick people.
