Another great review!

Some days, getting the mail here at the Soloflex office is a lot of fun. We’ve gotten so many great letters over the years and I’d like to share one of the latest. This man is an inspiration, he’s been exercising and eating right for decades!

To all the Good People at Soloflex:

I want to thank all of you for the profoundly positive impact you’ve had on my life. I bought my Soloflex exercise machine in 1984, and I’ve used it everyday for the last 25 years. It is one of the main reasons I’m in excellent health as I approach my 69th birthday.

My body is in perfect shape! I have the muscle-tone of a strong, healthy 25 year-old. My Soloflex, which has become a dear, dear friend, has repaid the money I paid for it thousandfold. I bless the day so long ago that I saw your advertisement and decide to respond to it. It was truly a Wise Choice Day.

I’ve made similar Wise Choices. I’ve been a non-drinking vegetarian for 32 years. I eat mostly organic living foods, and drink about a gallon of home-distilled water each day. I meditate, walk on the nearby beach, exercise regularly, and am in bed every night by 10 p.m. God has blessed me abundantly.

And the Soloflex you made for me has been one of the memorable blessings of my long and contented life. Thank you for this life-enhancing product which you made available to me and others. I am in your collective debt, and consider you kindred spirits.

I wish all of the people at Soloflex the very best of all the good things Life has to give!

Blessings & Deep Gratitude,

Owen M. Delray Beach, Florida

Thank you for the great letter, Owen! Keep up the good work.

And Now, A Word From One of Our Customers:

“I just had to let you know how thrilled I am with my Whole Body Vibration (WBV) Platform. I have cerebral palsy and use braces and a wheel chair to get around. I’m also of the age where osteoporosis is a concern. Well, your machine has given me new life! I can now get on and off the platform on my own (couldn’t a few months ago), and it has increased my strength, stability and circulation to a degree I never imagined possible. Degenerative arthritis in my joints makes weight-bearing exercise impossible and the pain in my hips and knees was extreme. What a difference now! The pain is almost non-existent and I’m able to stand on the platform for the full 10 minutes. Wow! I’m 60 years old and getting a second chance at life. THANK YOU.”
Andi, Florence, Oregon

Immediately upon receipt of Andi’s email, we shot back an offer to her to do an ad for WBV. She said, “Sure, if it will help others like me it’s helped me.” The ad ran nationally in Readers’ Digest a couple of years ago.

WBV is especially important for people like Andi. But it’s also important to those who have difficulty sticking with a regular exercise program…. and that’s almost everyone!

We’ve been manufacturing and selling home strength training equipment for 30 years. We are convinced that Whole Body Vibration is the most important discovery since the Greeks and Romans perfected barbell and dumbell exercises, just like the ones we do today, 2500 years ago!

So, how is WBV working for you? Please let us know. You can comment here or click the Testimonials tab at the top of the page.

How I became a Drop Out

I used to go to the gym… I went almost every day for a year or two. First during the day and then at night. During the day, the personal trainers “trained” the Hooters Girls (yes, my gym had actual Hooters Girls), and the serious body builders glared at anyone who dared enter the freeweight area. Groups of young girls in $200 sneakers and way more makeup than I wore at my wedding giggled and gossiped in the cardio areas. I stuck to the perimeter, did my own thing and got the hell out of there. Kind of like high school.

Eventually I switched to nights because I thought it would be less crowded. It was, but it wasn’t any better. In fact, it got worse. Enter the night shift, a group of young men who showed up every night without fail. I’m not sure what these guys were doing at the gym, but it was definitely not to work out. Swear to God they were dressed in street clothes, a la Night at the Roxbury, and sporting enough cologne for a football team. OMG WTF!!!?! These spiky haired clones looked ready to troll the nearest meat market for easy prey. Ok, so they did use a few of the machines (mainly the ones I wanted to use!), but not for working out. Instead they sat on machines making what I can only guess were booty calls. After about a week, I decided to call it quits. That’s how I became a drop out. I’m happy to say that it hasn’t taken much to continue my workouts at home. Just some hand weights, good music and a pair of sneakers. Now my workout doesn’t feel so much like work.

On shaky ground

I know exercise is vital to living and now that I am over 45, it is even more important, especially since I’ve been suffering from an undiagnosed illness. For six years, my symptoms have included: dizziness, nausea, weakness, severe headaches, numbness and numerous oddities. I have been admitted to the ER twice, seen several doctors and specialists, had MRI’s and CT scans, EKGs and EEGs. Not one doctor has been able to give me a definite diagnosis, but a few were really eager to put me on antidepressants. One even said they would not treat me further until I saw a psychiatrist.

Feeling desperate for an answer, I went to see a psychiatrist and was told I was fine. I cannot say how frustrating and discouraged I have become in trying to find out what happened to me. One day I was fine and active and the next I was totally dependant on my family and friends to do almost everything for me. The sickness made me unable to drive for two years and it’s still difficult every time I get in a car.

I have done extensive research online and scared myself with all the diseases my symptoms describe. As a result, I’m now leaning toward alternative medicine. I went to a naturopath and she wants me to focus on diet and exercise at this point to even out my insulin and cortisol levels. These can really affect feelings of being light headed and anxiety.

Has anyone else experienced similar symptoms and have you found anything to help feel normal again? Do diet and exercise help?
